Everton fans appear sceptical about the rumours which started in The Independent suggesting that they were targeting Julian Draxler.
Everton have masses of money to spend this summer, but they are yet to really make a statement signing.
The Toffees have brought in Maarten Stekelenburg and Idrissa Gueye, but their spending has been modest.
However, the Independent claims that Everton are ready to smash their transfer record to bring in Draxler from Wolfsburg.
The German international has already suggested he wants a move, and Arsenal looked to be the youngster’s most likely destination.
However, Everton are reportedly willing to spend around £60 million to bring Draxler to Goodison Park.
The move would be a quite staggering one, if Everton were able to complete it. But their supporters do not seem optimistic that any transfer will be taking place in the near future.
