Everton fans were watching in anticipating as Ross Barkley made his first appearance since leaving Goodison Park.

Everton fans appear to have been pleased with Ross Barkley’s failure to impress on debut for Chelsea.
Barkley left Everton in acrimonious circumstances earlier this month, and his first match away from Goodison Park did not go according to plan.
Barkley came on as an early substitute, as Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 in the Carabao Cup semi-final to progress to Wembley.
And Everton fans couldn’t resist laughing at Barkley’s failure to impress.
Barkley had not been given one game for Everton this season, due to injury.
The England international is still searching for match fitness, after leaving Sam Allardyce’s side.
And Chelsea fans will be hoping that the Everton academy graduate’s performance improve with time.
Barkley’s former Everton side have spent some of the money they have raised from his sale, bringing in the likes of Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun this month to add to Allardyce’s attacking options.
