Sean Dyche’s Burnley are reportedly keen on signing Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny.

Jonjoe Kenny of Everton arrives for the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton Fc at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on May 12, 2019 in London, England.

Everton supporters on Twitter are in agreement that Jonjoe Kenny should leave the club in the summer as he is attracting interest from a fellow Premier League side.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Sean Dyche’s Burnley are eyeing a move for the defender as they are set to rival Crystal Palace for his signature.

It is said that the Clarets, who saw an offer rejected for the 22-year-old during the January transfer window, want to relaunch their interest in the player.

Kenny is a product of the Everton academy, but he has struggled to cement his place in the starting XI, with the more experienced Seamus Coleman playing on a more regular basis.

Even when Coleman was on the sidelines with an injury, Mason Holgate stepped into his shoes, as he has been out on loan at Championship side West Brom this season.

Despite not being an absolute regular on Merseyside, Kenny now has some experience of England’s top-flight, but he seemingly needs those run of games in order to take his game to the next level.

Considering he hardly featured under Marco Silva this term, it won’t be a surprise to see Kenny part ways, whether it be on loan or on a permanent basis with his boyhood club in the summer.

Here is a selection of Everton fans on Twitter reacting to the rumours surrounding Kenny:

Everton finished the Premier League season in a positive fashion and Silva, who was in his first season in charge at Goodison Park, will want to improve on that eighth-placed finish next term.

A lot of what the club does during the summer transfer window will mirror their future performances and whether or not they are capable of taking that next step under their current manager.
