Oumar Niasse netted a brace for Everton.

Everton outcast Oumar Niasse scored twice for the club’s under-23 side yesterday at Goodison Park.

Niasse helped inspire Everton to a 4-1 win over Spurs, just 24 hours after the fits team had been beaten 3-0 at the same stadium by the North London club’s first team.

The striker was signed by former boss Roberto Martinez but did not hit the ground running and has not been part of Ronald Koeman’s plans.

Oumar Niasse of Hull City looks dejected during the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Hull City at Selhurst Park on May 14, 2017 in London, England.

He signed on loan with Hull City last season and impressed, and had been due to sign with Crystal Palace for this season until his move broke down on transfer deadline day.

Niasse is now letting his football do the talking, and with Everton struggling for goals in the first team, a call up may not be out of the question if he can keep producing for the under-23s.

In four league games Everton have scored just two goals, a poor return considering the investment put into the club this summer.

Niasse might or might not be the answer, but he could be worth a try if Everton continue to struggle in front of goal.
