But he was handed his first start under Allardyce at Newcastle United on Wednesday, and played the full 90 minutes as Everton returned from St James’ Park 1-0 winners.
Everton fans have already spotted an improvement in fellow strugglers Gylfi Sigurdsson and Ashley Williams, and Schneiderlin, it seems, is the latest to change their minds.
