Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has admitted that he wants to prove some of the Goodison Park crowd wrong.

Everton fans appear to be divided over Morgan Schneiderlin, after his comments in The Times.

Schneiderlin admitted that he was close to leaving Everton in the summer, after enduring a difficult campaign.

The Frenchman was heavily criticised by Everton fans, with his attitude questioned on multiple occasions last term.

But Schneiderlin has insisted that he wants to turn things around this term.

“I’ll show Everton fans that I’m not lazy and do care,” he said.

And while some Everton fans are starting to believe that Schneiderlin is proving that he can make an impact, others are finding it harder to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Schneiderlin has played an important role under Marco Silva so far, and looks set to be a key member of Everton’s starting line-up throughout the campaign.

The former Manchester United man sets the tempo of Everton’s play through his passing ability.

Everton are next in action at the weekend, when they take on West Ham United.
