Everton defender Ramiro Funes-Mori is said to be of interest to Middlesbrough.

Everton fans generally want Middlesbrough to double their bid for Ramiro Funes-Mori.

According to the Daily Telegraph (June 21, Sport page 15), Boro have made a £5 million offer for the Everton centre-back.

However, Toffees fans largely feel that the Argentine is worth more than what Tony Pulis’s side have offered them.

Funes-Mori’s future at Everton remains up in the air, with Marco Silva still assessing his squad.

The powerful centre-back did not play very often last season, after injury disrupted his campaign.

Funes-Mori is back fit now for the new season though and, as things stand, the Toffees could have a lack of options in central defence.

Ashley Williams seems to have no future under Silva, Phil Jagielka is showing signs of age, and Michael Keane was thoroughly unconvincing.

If Everton do sell Funes-Mori to Boro, then he could be joined by current Toffees teammate Muhamed Besic, as he has also been linked with a move to the Riverside.
