Everton star impressed in Carabao Cup win.

Is Leighton Baines’ time at Everton coming to an end?
Toffees fans got a look at the future last night as Lucas Digne was handed a start in the Carabao Cup against Rotherham.
The summer signing from Barcelona had only played four minutes of Everton’s opening three games and along with loanee Kurt Zouma, he made his first start for his new club last night.
Digne impressed as Everton won the game 3-1, despite fielding a heavily rotated side.
The Frenchman provided an assist for Everton’s second goal, with a superb cross finding the head of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who took full advantage.
Everton have not kept any clean sheets in the Premier League yet this season and veteran left-back Leighton Baines has looked shaky in their opening three games.

The Toffees have a winnable looking home game against Huddersfield this weekend, their last fixture before the international break.
Now may be the ideal time to give Digne a start. Last night showed he deserves a shot.
Here is a look at how fans reacted to his performance…
