Everton left-back Lucas Digne has looked like one of the club’s best signings in years so far this season.

Last night against Newcastle, he let his standards slip.

Digne saw plenty of the ball, but his final pass let him down too often.

Digne can’t take all the blame for this, with striker Cenk Tosun looking predictable and ineffective up front before being hauled off after 68 minutes.

Everton drew the game 1-1, with Richarlison scoring the Toffees’ goal, after Salomon Rondon had put Newcastle ahead.

Marco Silva’s side remained level on points with Manchester United despite the draw, with the Red Devils sharing the points against Arsenal.

Digne will have to do better, and while his crossing is reason for concern, he should not be in danger of losing his place.
