Everton are said to be interested in signing Bas Dost from Sporting Lisbon this summer.
Everton fans do not appear at all keen on the links with Sporting Lisbon striker Bas Dost.
However, Everton fans are generally hoping that the links don’t come true, as they do not feel that Dost would improve them.
The rangy forward is now 29 and is not the most mobile of strikers, and most Everton fans are hoping that Marco Silva looks elsewhere for a new front man.
Silva has already suggested that his transfer wishlist at Everton is not a long one.
The Toffees could want a new number nine though, as they did not score particularly prolifically last term.
Cenk Tosun did show signs of promise after signing in January, but beyond that Everton’s striking options look short.
Dost hit 27 goals in 30 goals in Portugal last term, so would arrive at Goodison Park in good form, if he did sign.
