Everton fans have reacted excitedly to the rumours linking them with Bayern Munich left-back Juan Bernat.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton are interested in making a move for Bernat this month.
The Spaniard has not featured for Bayern with any regularity this season, and could be allowed to move on.
And with Everton looking for a left-back, Bernat could be a good option for Sam Allardyce’s side.
Toffees fans are certainly keen for a new left-back to be snapped up, and the reaction to the rumours on social media website Twitter was very positive.
Bernat would be likely to immediately come into Allardyce’s first-team, if he was to arrive at Goodison Park.
Everton’s current left-back options are very limited, with Leighton Baines out injured.
Cuco Martina has filled in on the left side of Everton’s defence, but has not always convinced.
If Bernat was to arrive at Everton he would become Allardyce’s side’s third addition of the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun.
