Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny will spend the next season on loan at German side Schalke as he looks to take his career to the next level.

Everton supporters on Twitter lauded their player Jonjoe Kenny after he scored a screamer for England’s U21’s during their 3-3 draw against Croatia on Monday.
Aidy Bothroyd’s side crashed out of the European U-21 championships with only one point to their name despite many expecting high things of the crop that flew out to sunny isles of San Marino.
Costly mistakes, a high number of goals conceded and baffling tactical changes were England’s main problems, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka initially starting at right back in the opening match before Boothroyd drafted Kenny into the starting XI.
He made a costly mistake against the defeat against Romania, but it was his long-range strike in England’s final game against Croatia which caught the eye of his parent club.
Despite Kenny’s effort, England still dropped more points and will be heading home early as questions will be asked as to why this current crop of players didn’t produce the goods in San Marino.
Here is a selection of Everton fans reacting to Kenny’s performance:
Kenny will be departing Goodison Park ahead of the new Premier League season because he will be making a season-long loan switch to Bundesliga giants Schalke.
Seamus Coleman has made the right-back position his own once again following his return from injury as Kenny’s move to Germany will benefit both parties.
The 22-year-old will be hoping to return a much better player and in the hope that he can challenge Coleman for that right-back spot in these coming seasons.
