Everton were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City, with John Stones starting in midfield.

Everton fans have admitted they missed John Stones, after his performance for Manchester City last night.
Everton were beaten 2-0 by City at Goodison Park yesterday, with Stones playing in central midfield for the visitors.
Stones has previously been booed at Everton, but as time as passed since his move, the Goodison Park crowd seemed to have forgiven their former player.
And Stones’ clap towards the Gwaldys Street end had Everton supporters discussing just how much they missed him.
Everton actually put in a good showing against City, but were unable to pick up the three points.
The Toffees conceded goals to Aymeric Laporte and Gabriel Jesus, as they lost again.
Marco Silva’s side have been in poor form of late, and another defeat has not helped to relieve the pressure on the Portuguese boss.
Everton are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Silva’s former side Watford at Vicarage Road.
