Everton are through to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after beating West Ham United 4-1 at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.

The Toffees have made a 100% start to the Premier League season, and are now thirving in the Carabao Cup too having previously seen off Salford City and Fleetwood Town.

West Ham presented a tougher test on paper, but Everton coasted past them as Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring with a stunning touch and finish.

Robert Snodgrass equalised for the Hammers after the break, but Richarlison fired Everton back in front before Calvert-Lewin scored twice to complete a second hat-trick of the season.

Carlo Ancelotti will be dreaming of silverware this season, and fans have unsurprisingly been in buoyant mood after yet another win.

Calvert-Lewin stole the show with his hat-trick, but fans offered huge praise towards midfielder Fabian Delph for his performance.

Delph, 30, only managed 16 Premier League appearances last season, and had quickly become a forgotten man following the signings of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Everton fans were hugely impressed last night though, branding him ‘exceptional’, ‘excellent’ and ‘absolutely superb’.

Others wanted to offer credit where it’s due, with Delph proving some of his doubters wrong with his performance having previously been criticised by Toffees supporters.
