Bruno Andrade’s stunning volley brought Lincoln level, but Alex Iwobi and Richarlison pounced inside the final 10 minutes to send Everton through, setting up a trip to Sheffield Wednesday in the next round.
Marco Silva handed first Everton starts to Fabian Delph, Moise Kean and Iwobi, as well as right back Djibril Sidibe, who is currently on loan from Monaco.
The 27-year-old endured a mixed night at Sincil Bank, showing some promise going forward but also some problems defensively, leaving fans a little split on his performance.
Some felt he was ‘awful’ and ‘shocking’, even ready to add him to the list of poor Everton full backs over the years, but other thought he was great and not only slotted in well but can really push Seamus Coleman for playing time, just summing up how football is a game of opinions.
