Everton fans have suggested that Davy Klaassen put in a solid performance for their development side last night.

Klaassen was finally given some game-time for the Toffees, as he desperately looks to regain some sharpness.

The Dutch midfielder helped Everton pick up a 2-0 victory over Swansea City, after playing 70 minutes in the contest.

Everton scored their goals through Anthony Evans and Con Ouzaounidis, with Ramiro Funes-Mori also featuring.

All eyes were on Klaassen, as he finally looks to make an impact at Goodison Park.

And it is fair to say that Everton fans were largely impressed by the former Ajax man’s showing.

To the shock of absolutely no one klaassen looks really composed and calm / neat on the ball in a deeper position. No reason he can’t do it in the first team when match fit.

Nice to see a back 4 who actually looked like they knew what they were doing. Properly organised, Lewis Gibson and Con Ouzounidis were very good in particular. Klaassen was great as well, but MOTM for me was Anthony Evans. Great goal, confident captain and never stopped running!

Whether Klaassen will now be closer to forcing his way into Sam Allardyce’s line-up remains to be seen.

Klaassen was brought in from Ajax in the summer, but has only made four Premier League appearances all season.

Everton’s first-team are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion.
