Everton youngster Callum Connolly started for Wigan Athletic in their 4-0 defeat against Manchester United.
Everton fans have praised Callum Connolly’s performance for Wigan Athletic against Manchester United at Old Trafford today.
Connolly joined Wigan on loan earlier this month, and has immediately been thrown into their starting line-up.
The youngster was given the nod to play from the off against United, and he held his own against a strong Red Devils side.

Wigan may have fallen to a 4-0 defeat against Jose Mourinho’s side, but they did not embarrass themselves.
Indeed, the Championship side were the better team for much of the first-half, but could not recover after Maraoune Fellaini headed United into the lead.
The Red Devils were ruthless in the second half and scored further goals through Chris Smalling, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The heavy defeat was undoubtedly a disappointment for Latics fans, but the Everton supporters who watched on television were impressed by Connolly’s showing.
