Everton fans appear to have delivered a mixed verdict on Muhamed Besic’s performance for their under-23 side yesterday.
Everton, who were crowned champions of the Premier League development league last week, took on Liverpool last night.
And although the Toffees fell to a 2-1 defeat against their Merseyside rivals, Everton fans were still pleased to see Besic back out on the pitch.
The combative midfielder has been out for the entirety of the season so far, after damaging his knee in pre-season.
Ronald Koeman has recently suggested that Besic could yet make a first-team appearance before the end of the campaign though.
And Besic made a big step in his road to recovery, by playing for Everton’s development side.
The Bosnian international’s display received mixed reviews, though, with some Everton fans praising him and others being less impressed.
