Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported on Tuesday that the agent of Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan is trying to persuade Everton into making a bid for the Turkish international.
The 30-year-old is a top-class player who made his name first at Galatasaray and then at Atletico Madrid before joining Barcelona in 2015.
He scored 22 goals in 178 games for the Rojiblancos, and has 100 caps for his national team. Turan had to wait six months to make his debut for Barcelona due the club’s ban on registering new players, but he has failed to replicate his best form for the Catalan club.
He hasn’t made a single competitive appearance this season, and a move away from Nou Camp is on the cards in January.
