Everton fans have reacted in hilarious fashion after being asked to Tweet their favourite Ramiro Funes Mori moment at Goodison Park, following the defender’s departure to Spanish side Villarreal.

Funes Mori, 27, has joined the La Liga outfit on a four-year deal, after spending three years on Merseyside with the Toffees. He was signed from River Plate by Roberto Martinez.

Since then, the 19-time Argentina international has clocked up 67 appearances for Everton but only managed four last season due to a long-term knee injury sustained while on international duty in 2017.

Despite having two years left to run on his contract, Funes Mori opted to leave Goodison Park following the arrival of Marco Silva and Marcel Brands, who are likely to bring a new centre-back to Everton.

The Toffees already boast plenty of options at centre-back, in veterans Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka, as well as Michael Keane and Mason Holgate.
