Everton defender Seamus Coleman has been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland’s next game.

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from Sky Sports earlier this week which have suggested that Seamus Coleman will miss Republic of Ireland’s friendly with Poland due to a foot injury.
Coleman has featured in all of Everton’s opening four games of the new campaign. But he is perhaps yet to find his best form for Marco Silva’s men, with the undefeated Toffees managing to concede six goals in those fixtures.
The news that he will miss the international game tonight, and thus, could seemingly be a doubt for the weekend has prompted a mixed reaction from some of the Everton fans on social media.

It is frustrating for many that he has picked up this problem. He, of course, sustained that horrific leg break while on international duty, and that fact has not escaped the disgruntled supporters.
There are some fans however, who believe that Coleman possibly missing this weekend’s game could have a positive outcome as it will allow Jonjoe Kenny to get a chance. Coleman’s form has been criticised this season, and some are excited to see the academy graduate attempt to put some pressure on the defender if given an opportunity.

Here is what some of the Everton fans make of Coleman’s injury news…
