Everton fans are reacting on Twitter as Leicester City reportedly close in on a deal to sign James Maddison from Norwich City.
According to the Daily Mirror (liveblog entry 14:40), Maddison has passed a medical at Leicester ahead of a £24 million move, despite being linked with a move to Everton and others after an impressive breakout campaign at Norwich.
The 21-year-old scored 15 goals and set up eight from midfield, with his form prompting England’s Under-21s to come calling.
And the prospect of him going to Leicester – who finished just a place and two points behind Everton last season – is one that does not sit well with many Toffees fans.

Like most clubs, Everton have yet to make a single new signing since the end of last season, although Maddison would be Leicester’s third of the summer window, after Ricardo Pereira and Jonny Evans.
