Everton’s Seamus Coleman appears to have fallen foul of the Goodison Park faithful.

It was a good day for Everton today.

Marco Silva’s side brushed aside Chelsea with a fantastic 2-0 win at Goodison Park.

The Everton fans in attendance were loving it, but many on Twitter were critical of some players’ performances – and Seamus Coleman’s in particular.

The Irish right-back was targeted by the likes of Eden Hazard and Ross Barkley and seemed to struggle against Maurizio Sarri’s side overall.

He did improve slightly in the second half, though his final ball remains suspect, and here’s how Toffees fans reacted to his display:

The truth is that Coleman hasn’t been himself all season for Everton.

In fact, he hasn’t looked his usual self for well over a year now, since coming back from long-term injury and maybe the Blues’ Director of Football Marcel Brands will be interested in signing a replacement this summer.

He turns 31 this year and it’s time that the Merseysiders look at the long term.
