Manchester City have spent big to bring in the England international.
England’s John Stones
John Stones’ move to Manchester City from Everton was finally agreed today. The England international has headed to the Etihad Stadium in a deal worth around £47.5 million – as reported by The Sun.
The move makes Stones the second most expensive defender of all time and it was a deal that has been coming for some time.
Stones, who nearly left Everton for Chelsea last summer, has been earmarked by City boss Pep Guardiola as key to implementing his playing style at the club in 2016-17.

Everton fans know there is potential there, but on the whole not many seemed to bothered by his exit.
His laid-back style often saw him come unstuck last season and his defending was often called into question.

Everton fans are therefore pleased to see the club manage to cash in such a massive amount of money on a player who had a poor season last campaign.
Everton are now hoping to bring in Ashley Williams from Swansea City and Lamine Kone from Sunderland to help strengthen the back-line.
