Everton fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Romelu Lukaku against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Lukaku featured for Everton in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool away from home at Anfield.

The Belgium international striker started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Toffees went down 3-1.

The performance of the 23-year-old was hugely disappointing, but Everton fans are divided over his display against Liverpool.

Lukaku is a good striker and fans would have expected more from home against Liverpool.

Given that the match was at Anfield and Liverpool have a better team, the Toffees were always going to struggle to win.

However, the performance of Ronald Koeman’s side could have ben better, and it is something that the Dutch manager is certainly going to look into.

Everton will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford.
