Everton were beaten again on Monday night, losing 2-1 away at Wolverhampton Wanderers as fans cursed the absence of defender Yerry Mina.

The Toffees conceded two first-half goals with Max Kilman heading in a corner before Raul Jimenez made it 2-0.

Alex Iwobi gave Everton hope, but Wolves managed to hang on for all three points at Molineux.

Everton have now lost three Premier League games in a row and have taken just one point in the last four outings.

Rafael Benitez is coming under increased pressure, and he would no doubt love to have Yerry Mina back available again.

The Colombian defender has missed each of Everton’s last three games – the defensive issues are hardly a coincidence.

Mina’s injury, picked up on international duty with Colombia, has left Everton exposed at the back, especially on set pieces.

On Monday, Sky Sports showed a graphic displaying Everton’s stats with and without Mina.

Their win percentage with him in the team was 57%, but just 24% without him. Everton’s points per game with Mina was 1.9, but dropped to 0.9 without him.

Goals conceded per game went up with Mina out too, rising from 1.1 with him to 1.7 without.

Everton fans have been taking to Twitter to react to that stat and to their performances without Mina in general, with many bigging up the Colombian star…
