The 19-year-old would be an impressive coup for Everton.

The majority of Everton fans would surely be happy with a seventh placed finish this season. The first year with Ronald Koeman as manager, and billionaire Farhad Moshiri as majority shareholder, represents a major step forward after the alarming decline under Roberto Martinez albeit with one or two bumps in the road.
The Toffees could yet finish higher of course. They are currently just four points adrift of Manchester United and five behind stalling city rivals Liverpool. However, Belgian wonderkid Youri Tielemans admitting to Walfoot that Goodison Park could be the ideal environment to further his progression has only raised hopes that 2017/18 could be the season in which Everton finally muscle in on the elite.
After all, there’s not a European giant worth its salt that has not been linked with Tielemans since he exploded onto the scene at the age of just 16.
And, three years on, his talent continues to grow to the extent that Anderlecht’s 16-goal midfielder has comprehensively outgrown the humble surrounds of the Belgian top flight.
DH report that Anderlecht want around £20 million for their prized asset but, with Moshiri offering funds beyond David Moyes wildest dreams, the price should be of no concern. After all, if Everton can pay an even larger fee for Yannick Bolasie, then a player with potential by the bucketload is a no brainer.

And, in the eyes of Everton fans, snapping up Tielemans would be a huge statement of intent.
