It’s 15 years to the day since the Australian signed for Everton.

Everton have been celebrating Tim Cahill’s contribution to the club during his Goodison Park years, with Tuesday marking 15 years since he signed from Millwall.

Posting a video of Cahill’s highlights on their official Twitter page, the Toffees have provided fans with an excuse to reminisce about his best moments in a blue shirt.

Announcing his retirement in March of this year, Cahill had an excellent career in England and abroad, as well as internationally with the Socceroos.

Everton truly got the best of his peak years though with the player arriving at 25 and staying until his early 30s.

In total he amassed 276 appearances for the club, scoring 68 goals, often found pushing forward from an attacking midfield position to be a nuisance for opposition defenders.

One of his best seasons came in 2004/05, when he scored 11 times in the Premier League, finishing as the club’s top scorer and helping them to a fourth place finish in the top-flight ahead of Liverpool.

They’ve never reached those heights again so it’s easy to understand why he is remembered so fondly.
