Burnley manager Sean Dyche has said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:29pm, September 13, 2021) that Everton fans were not happy with Rafael Benitez’s side until they scored.
What’s the story?
Everton won 3-1 against Burnley at Goodison Park in the Premier League last night.
The Toffees conceded the first goal of the game in the 53rd minute.
However, the Merseyside club soon scored three goals in the space of just seven minutes to pick up all three points from the encounter.
Sean Dyche’s verdict
Burnley boss Dyche has claimed that the Everton fans at Goodison Park were not happy with the way the team were playing until they scored.
Dyche said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:29pm, September 13, 2021): “I think the psychology of the crowd changed.
“The crowd were almost jeering at times, they were almost on the edge. Slow play, disappointed in that. They scored a goal which gave them a lift, and then they reacted to that.”

Strong start to the season
Benitez, a former Liverpool manager, is not known for an attacking brand of football, and Everton fans will have to get used to that.
However, what cannot be denied is that Benitez knows how to get the best out of the players he works with.
The current Everton squad is not really one that can challenge for the Premier League top four, but the Toffees have made a very good start to the season.
Everton are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 10 points from four matches, level on points with Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
