Everton fans are unhappy as club is linked with a loan move for Watford striker Stefano Okaka.

Ronald Koeman has very publicly reiterated that Everton are looking at the transfer window (as reported by the Independent) to sign a new striker to take the burden off new signing Sandro Ramirez and youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

After Romelu Lukaku’s departure to Manchester United, there has been a gaping hole left in the Everton squad for a pure goalscorer. Although the addition of Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson helps, the team needs a player who can put the ball in the back of the net regularly.

According to the Mirror, Everton are looking to sign Stefano Okaka on a one-year loan deal from Watford. The Italian started in Watford’s first game in the Premier League and scored against Liverpool from a corner.

However, although the 28-year-old is a full Italian international, he will be quite the step down from the names which have been mentioned in the press in the past few days. Especially, Diego Costa, given that Ronald Koeman has spoken about the Spain international in his press conferences (as reported by the Daily Express).

Everton fans though, don’t seem to be very keen on a move for the Watford man. Especially after they dreamt of Costa. A few of them took to Twitter to air their grievances, here’s the best of the Tweets.
