Everton fans have urged interim boss David Unsworth to hand youngster Ademola Lookman his first start of the 2017-18 Premier League season as the Toffees face Leicester.

The Merseyside outfit travel to the King Power Stadium ahead of Sunday’s clash, with Unsworth looking to get his side’s form back on track after Ronald Koeman was sacked on Monday.

Sitting in a dreadful 18th position in the Premier League table, fans will be desperate to see Unsworth help his side earn all three points at Leicester in order to push them up the league and develop some momentum.

Speed machine Lookman has been afforded just 15 minutes of Premier League football this season but impressed when coming off the bench during Everton’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Lookman, who cost Everton £11m back in January from Charlton according to BBC Sport, could be just what Unsworth is after as he searches for a spark within his squad.

Fans took to Twitter in an attempt to persuade Unsworth to start Lookman, with one fan even claiming that Lookman could be the answer as Everton “lack invention”.
