Everton fans have taken to Twitter in dazzled fashion after watching a nine-second clip of Alex Iwobi in today’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool.

In the dying stages of the game, the Nigeria international bamboozled Andy Robertson and Georginio Wijnaldum with a brilliant piece of skill.

Iwobi – who cost £35 million when Marco Silva signed him from Arsenal – flicked the ball onto his left foot using his right, before the ball bounced past the Liverpool duo for him to run on to.

Sadly, Robertson scythed him down, but the moment of genius earned Carlo Ancelotti’s men a late freekick by the corner flag, which could’ve resulted in a goal.

After all, both of the Toffees’ goals against Jurgen Klopp’s men were headers.

The result leaves Everton sat at the top of the Premier League, three points ahead of the reds having won 13 points from their first five games.

Goals from Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin helped cancel out strikes from Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah at Goodison Park.

Everton nearly suffered heartbreak in stoppage time after Jordan Henderson looked to have snatched all three points.

However, VAR intervened to adjudge Mane as offside in the build-up.

Let’s see what the Everton fans on Twitter have been saying about Iwobi’s piece of skill…
