Theo Walcott did not impress many of the Everton fans on social media with his display during the Toffees’ draw at Stamford Bridge.

Everton continued their impressive run of form by securing a point away at Chelsea on Sunday, but there appears to be plenty of Toffees supporters on Twitter who are not pleased with Theo Walcott’s recent form following the Stamford Bridge stalemate.

Marco Silva’s side played out a goalless draw with the Blues. It was not a bad performance from the Toffees, but they seemed to lack composure when they did get into the final third, only managing to put one attempt on target.

They were also grateful to Jordan Pickford, who made a couple of fine saves to deny the likes of Marcos Alonso and Alvaro Morata from scoring the goals that would have sent the home side to the top of the Premier League.

While there were some impressive performers in Everton’s side, it appears that many of the Goodison Park faithful were not happy with what they saw from Walcott.

The £20 million signing – fee reported by Sky Sports – has not scored in the league since August, and several felt that he never looked like ending that wait for a goal during his display on Sunday.

He did receive some praise for the work-rate and the defensive contribution he made – Everton were the first side to stop Chelsea scoring in almost two months – but there are plenty who feel that he does not deserve a starting spot given his current form.
