Everton are reportedly interested in Gotze, along with West Ham and Arsenal.

Everton are reportedly in the middle of a heated race to sign Borussia Dortmund playmaker Mario Gotze this summer, facing competition from the Premier League and Europe – but Everton fans are unsure over signing the German.
Sky Sports claimed on their Transfer Centre (8:33am, Thursday) that Everton face competition from West Ham United and Arsenal in the race to sign the 26-year-old, who is famous for scoring the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final.

Gotze, who rejoined Borussia Dortmund in 2016, three years after leaving the club to sign for Bayern Munich, struggled to achieve his best form with the German champions due to a metabolic disorder.
However, he managed to put his injury demons behind him this summer to make 32 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and laying on another seven assists.

The report claims European sides Marseille and Valencia are also interested in Gotze, with Dortmund keen to recuperate the £22million they spent to sign the 63-cap two years ago.
Everton fans reacted to the news that Marco Silva and Marcel Brands were interested in the playmaker, in a fairly mixed response. Some fans were excited at the possibility, while others believe that Gotze’s past is something of a concern.
