Everton supporters have called for Zinedine Zidane to be brought in at Goodison Park, even though Marco Silva looks set to become their new manager.

The Liverpool Echo claim that Silva will become Everton’s next boss later today.

But Toffees fans have their sights set on another target, following Zidane’s exit from Madrid.

The French boss announced he was leaving Madrid earlier today, and Everton fans have urged Farhad Moshiri to consider him.

Whether Everton would even come into Zidane’s thinking at this time, is very much up for debate.

Zidane won the Champions League three times in succession, and will have a large choice of jobs to pick between over the coming months.

Everton, meanwhile, do not have European football on offer, after what was a disappointing season last campaign.

Silva has been Everton’s first choice target for some time, and it would be a massive shock if they even considered changing that plan now.
