Everton fans have called for Mason Holgate to return to their starting line-up, with Sam Allardyce’s side’s defensive struggles continuing.

Everton were beaten 2-1 by Burnley in their last match, with Michael Keane and Ashley Williams both in awful form.

Williams got sent off in the Toffees’ last match, which means he will be unavailable at the weekend.

And Toffees fans have called for wholesale changes, with them wanting Holgate to be given another chance.

Holgate has not played in any of Everton’s last five matches, and during that time they have conceded 10 goals.

Keane’s and Williams’ partnership has failed to impress, and will now be broken up due to the latter’s suspension.

Allardyce also has the option of bringing back Ramiro Funes-Mori, who is on his way back from injury.

Everton’s next match comes at the weekend, when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion at Goodison Park.
