Everton drew 1-1 away at Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.
Everton fans once again had little to shout about on Saturday afternoon as the Toffees could only manage a 1-1 draw away at Swansea City.
The Toffees played out a dull 0-0 draw with Liverpool last weekend, and were hoping for much better on Saturday afternoon as they made the long trip to South Wales.
Manager Sam Allardyce needed a win to boost his slim chances of keeping his job before the end of the season, and he saw his side go in front thanks to Kyle Naughton’s own goal.
However, Swansea did hit back in the second half, with Jordan Ayew bagging an equaliser, handing the hosts a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
That was Allardyce’s fifth draw since becoming Everton manager, and whilst fans are still calling for him to be sacked, they turned their attentions elsewhere on Saturday.
Winger Theo Walcott – a January signing for Allardyce from Arsenal – made a bright start to his Everton career, but has struggled to make an impact in recent games, earning him criticism from supporters.
Fans took to Twitter after Saturday’s draw, suggesting that Walcott is playing like he’s already on his summer holidays, adding that he was ‘useless’ and ‘non-existent’, even claiming that he has lost pace since his arrival and is now playing at the same speed as Wayne Rooney with one fan comparing him to Kevin Mirallas.
