When Allardyce was first linked with the Everton job, the rumours did not go down particularly well at Goodison Park.
However, as the Toffees’ results have worsened, calls for Allardyce to come in have grown louder.
Everton fans feel that Allardyce’s organisation could now be needed, as their team is all over the place at the moment.
Everton were beaten 5-1 in their most recent match against Atalanta in the Europa League, in what was a humiliating evening at Goodison Park.
The Toffees now sit at the bottom of their Europa League group, with no chance of qualifying to the knockout stages, and they have not fared much better in the Premier League.
Everton are currently in 16th place in the top flight standings, with concerns that they could be relegated mounting.
Allardyce has famously never been relegated before, but he has already rejected Everton’s advances and it is unclear whether he would be open to talking to the Merseyside club again.
