The Toffees look set to appoint the Southampton manager, but could he bring an unwanted guest with him?
The Saints boss is said to be Goodison bound
According to reports, Everton are closing in on the appointment of Southampton manager Ronald Koeman as a replacement for Roberto Martinez.
A multiple league and double European Cup winner as a player, success has followed the Dutchman into management, where he’s won three league titles and one domestic cup – as well as leading the Saints to successive record finishes in the Premier League.
Few Evertonians can grumble at their side’s ambition, not least with owner Farhad Moshiri set to provide Koeman significant funds with which to bring Champions League football to Goodison Park.

There is, however, one aspect of the prospective appointment that would not sit at all well with the Blue half of Liverpool.
Sammy Lee, a former player and coach at Everton’s city rivals, happens to be one of Koeman’s key staff members at St. Mary’s and some fans on Twitter fear that the Liverpudlian could return to his hometown alongside the Saints boss.
