Several senior players are said to want to quit Everton.

Everton fans are not buying claims that senior players are ready to quit over a ‘deep division’ in the Toffees’ dressing room.

According to The Sun newspaper, which is exiled from most of Merseyside, the issue centres around their young midfielder Tom Davies and the Senegalese striker Oumar Niasse – two of the team’s most jovial players.

The tabloid states that Davies has considered meeting with his agent to discuss leaving Everton, who are his boyhood club, and adds that an unnamed teammate has suggested that he and his colleagues ‘chuck in transfer requests’ unless Niasse is sold.

Captain Phil Jagielka is also named as being involved in ‘heated discussions’, along with Seamus Coleman, Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Mason Holgate, Jonjoe Kenny and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
