Everton signed Davy Klaassen from Ajax in the summer, but the midfielder has struggled to make an impact at Goodison Park.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman gives instructions during the Barclays Premier League match between Hull City and Southampton at the KC Stadium on November 1, 2014 in Hull, England.

Ronald Koeman has told the Telegraph that Davy Klaassen needs time to adjust for playing for Everton, but some supporters appear to have already made their mind up.

Klaassen only joined Everton from Ajax in the summer, but he has endured a difficult start to life at Goodison Park.

The Dutch midfielder has failed to show his best form since moving to England, with some doubts forming over the 24-year-old.

Klaassen has made nine appearances for Everton, but only contributed one assist in that time.

Klaassen has already fallen out of Ronald Koeman’s starting line-up, and looks to face a fight to win his place back.

And some Everton fans are already writing off Klaassen’s chances of making a success of his time at Goodison Park, despite Koeman’s appeals for them to be patient with the technical midfielder.

Klaassen’s next chance to impress at Everton could come in his side’s Europa League match on Thursday, which comes against Apollon Limassol.
