Everton will be looking to put a run of four straight defeats behind them on Saturday when they play host to West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park – and fans have urged Sam Allardyce to start Ademola Lookman.

Lookman, 20, has started just one Premier League match this season, coming on as a substitute in six others and clocking up a total of just 152 minutes in England’s top tier.

Despite this, the former Charlton Athletic youngster has impressed in Everton’s other competitions, scoring a brace against Apollon Limassol in the Europa League as well as featuring against Liverpool in the FA Cup and Chelsea in the EFL Cup.

However, Allardyce continues to overlook the speed machine for the likes of Yannick Bolasie, Nikola Vlasic, Aaron Lennon and Gylfi Sigurdsson, with the new signing of Theo Walcott likely to complicate Lookman’s chances.

However, fans have remained defiant in the support of game time for Lookman and taken to Twitter to plead with Allardyce over starting Lookman, as they believe the England Under-20 international can shine for the Merseyside giants.

One fan even described Bolasie as “looking terrible” and wants Lookman to replace him.
