Demarai Gray’s Everton exit is stalling even after the president of Saudi Arabian outfit Al Shabab admitted he was confident of signing the Premier League winger.
With Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison arriving at Goodison Park, opportunities are likely to be few and far between for Demarai Gray this term. And that’s without mentioning Wilfried Gnonto; Sky Sports claiming that Everton’s talks for the Leeds United whizzkid are back on on deadline day.

Gray’s situation is complicated further, however, by reports suggesting that a proposed move to Saudi Arabia have hit the buffers (The Athletic, live blog, 9.22am).
This comes after Al Shabab’s president admitted that he was confident of bringing in a winger who won the Premier League title with Leicester City back in 2016.
Demarai Gray may be stuck at Everton
“God willing, we will soon sign Demarai Gray,” Al Shabab chief Khaled Al-Thunayan tells In The Goal. “A player from Everton and from the Jamaican national team.”
The Athletic adds that there is also interest from Lille. The Ligue 1 outfit have a proud history of coaxing career best performances out of talented widemen; Nicolas Pepe, Gervinho, Eden Hazard, to name but three.

Gray has also been linked with Fulham and Crystal Palace in recent weeks. Interest from both clubs appears to have dwindled, however.
