Everton have been reportedly linked with a move for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.

The Times have reported that Everton director of football Steve Walsh has flown to Turkey in an attempt to thrash out a deal to sign Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun ahead of the January transfer window.
Everton have been repeatedly linked with the powerhouse striker, and plenty of reports have suggested that the Toffees have stolen a march in the race to land the 26-year-old striker.
However, the report claims that Walsh has reportedly jetted into Istanbul amid fears that their £20million move for the Turkey international could be hijacked by one of a number of interested clubs.

It is believed that Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Roma have all made enquiries for the striker, who has amassed an impressive 13 goals in just 23 league and cup encounters.
Everton are in desperate need of a centre-forward and Allardyce has identified the Turkish ace as the man to finally replace Romelu Lukaku, who left to join Manchester United in the summer.

Sandro Ramirez has failed to have the desired impact at Goodison Park following his summer move from Malaga, while Oumar Niasse is hardly seen as Everton’s main striker. Dom Calvert-Lewin has impressed but he is still learning the ropes.
However, with Walsh positioned in Istanbul in order to complete a deal ahead of their rivals, Everton could finally add the missing ingredient to their side as Allardyce looks to push the Toffees nearer the European qualification spots.
