Everton were beaten at the weekend, but Andre Gomes still did enough to impress.

Coleman spoke to the Liverpool Echo just days ago, and he spoke highly of Gomes’ quality.
The right-back has continued to impressed with the midfielder since, with the Portuguese international putting in a superb display at Anfield yesterday.
Although Everton were not able to pick up a point against Liverpool, they did give a good account for themselves in the Merseyside derby.
Everton were a match for their near neighbours for most of the contest, and Gomes was arguably their best performer on the day.
“We’ve got some really good players now and the way he wants us to play is to build from the back and you’ve got Andre (Gomes) coming looking for the ball off you and you know he can handle it and make things happen and I thought he was great again,” he said.

“It’s difficult to take but I guess we can take positives from the way we played.”
Everton only have Gomes on loan as things stand, and securing his future will surely be of top importance.
Everton need to agree a fee with Barcelona for the midfielder, and his price tag is only rising by the game at the moment.
