Everton defender Lucas Digne made his first competitive start at Goodison Park in midweek.

Digne put in a man of the match display as Everton beat Rotherham United 3-1 in the Carabao Cup.
The full back was a constant threat going forward and solid at the back, as Everton progressed in the competition with a comfortable victory.
And even though Goodison Park wasn’t full, Digne was still impressed with the atmosphere at his new side’s home ground.
“The fans were amazing,” Digne said. “I enjoyed it a lot. The stadium was full and for a cup game, it was great.
“It’s better, of course, because the team won we played well. It was a perfect night.”

Digne’s performance against Rotherham is sure to have forced him into Marco Silva’s thinking for the weekend.
Leighton Baines has started at left-back for Everton throughout the season so far, but could be in danger of losing his place.
Baines has not played poorly, but Digne always looked as if he was set to be signed as Everton’s first choice left-back for season.
Everton are still unbeaten in Premier League action so far, and take on Huddersfield Town in their next match.
