Everton could’ve had a dream summer if Wilfried Zaha and Yerry Mina had accepted their offers

Everton were attempting to sign both Wilfried Zaha and Yerry Mina with Marco Silva having some ambitious targets.

Everton have been dealt a blow, with recent rejections from Wilfried Zaha and Yerry Mina.

Marco Silva targeted both Zaha and Mina, but Everton appear to have fallen short in their bids to sign them both.

The Mirror claim that Zaha told Everton he wouldn’t be joining them, causing them to go for Richarlison.

The addition of Richarlison is still a positive one, but Zaha would surely have been a dream signing for the Toffees to make.

The Crystal Palace winger was one of the most threatening attackers in England last term, and plays at a more consistent level than Richarlison.

Mina, meanwhile, would seriously have strengthened Everton’s backline – if his performances at the World Cup were anything to go by.

Mina was a colossus in the Colombia defence, and he even scored three times over the course of the tournament.

However, The Sun suggest that Mina has turned Everton down – and Silva must be gutted, as if he could have got those two deals over the line then the Toffees transfer window would have surpassed anybody’s expectations.
