While Romelu Lukaku’s uncertain future is a major cause for concern at Everton, the fans could take some solace in the prospect of two former Barcelona starlets lining up at Goodison Park next season.

The Toffees are now more hopeful than ever of bringing Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez to Merseyside after Fifa refused to overturn Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban, Sky Sports reports. Diego Simeone’s side were reported to be the 21-year-old’s first choice destination but they will now be prevented from registering new players until January 2018.

As such, Everton could clinch one of the summer’s most inspired bargains with a buyout clause in the attacker’s contract set at just £5 million, the report adds. The technically gifted Sandro netted 16 La Liga goals in a stand-out breakthrough campaign at Malaga after arriving on a free from Barcelona last summer.

And, according to Mundo Deportivo, his fellow La Masia graduate Munir El Haddadi could be joining him at Goodison Park. The report claims that Valencia, where the 21-year-old spent 2016/17 on loan, have an option to sign him permanently for £10 million.

However, Munir failed to impress consistently at the crisis club, netting just six goals in 34 La Liga games. Therefore, Everton could step in as manager Ronald Koeman aims to enhance a squad hoping to challenge on both domestic and European fronts next season.

Therefore, Munir and Sandro could form quite the partnership. The pair rose through the ranks together at Barcelona, both making their breakthrough in the 2014/15 campaign.

And the fact that they failed to follow in the footsteps of Pedro, Sergio Busquetts and co and cement a place in the first team shouldn’t concern Everton supporters. After all, if Alexis Sanchez couldn’t outmuscle the infamous ‘MSN’, what chance did these two youngsters have?
