Olivier Giroud decided to stay at Arsenal despite his limited match time rather than move to Everton over the summer.

Everton have never been so powerful in the transfer market. Thanks to the financial backing of majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, The Toffees spent over £140 million this summer and broke their transfer record on two separate occasions.
The Merseysiders still have some way to go, however, before they can match the pulling power of the established elite – and a dismal start to the season will not go very far towards changing that.
And, if reports are to be believed, Everton could be about to endure a brutal reality check. According to Calciomercato, Olivier Giroud is a January target for Serie A giants Inter Milan and Juventus.

If Giroud does swap The Emirates for Italy in the New Year, it will not go down well with an Everton side who were so close to luring the Frenchman to Goodison Park over the summer.
And considering that The Toffees have scored just seven Premier League goals this season in the absence of talismanic striker Romelu Lukaku, Giroud could have come in very handy.

The former Montpellier man was openly frustrated about his lack of game time this season and the fact he has not started a single league fixture in 2017/18 means he is likely to give thought again to a move away from Arsenal in the next transfer window.
And, unfortunately, the prospect of joining Serie A champions Juventus or an Inter side who finally look to have put a horrific few years behind them still seems a little more attractive than becoming Everton’s new centre-forward, despite the Toffees’ obvious ambition.
