Everton may have already invested in new signings this summer, but manager Ronald Koeman is still expected to bring in more new faces before the start of the Premier League season.

The Toffees, who finished seventh in the Premier League last season, have already snapped up goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and midfielder Davy Klaassen from Sunderland and Ajax respectively, with more to come.

Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez is also set to join Everton, but further attacking reinforcements could be on the cards according to fresh reports in Italy.

Il Messaggero report that, whilst Roma are the current favourites for his signature, Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi is a target for Everton after the Toffees allegedly tracked his progress in Serie A.

Berardi, 22, notched ten goals and nine assists in just 25 appearances for Sassuolo last term, and whilst they would face a battle with new Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco – who coached Berardi at Sassuolo – Everton could boost their attack by landing Berardi.

If Koeman decides to stick with a 4-3-3, featuring a midfield trio of Idrissa Gueye, Morgan Schneiderlin and new signing Klaassen, then he could have the ideal wing pairing in Sandro and Berardi on the left and right respectively.

Both players prefer to cut infield onto their respectively stronger foot, but they have the pace and skill to beat full backs either inside or outside, whilst both players can score and create with devastating effect.

Played either side of a centre forward – ideally Romelu Lukaku, but that looks unlikely – Sandro and Berardi could form a potent wing pairing for Everton, offering far more than the likes of Kevin Mirallas or Gerard Deulofeu have over the years, with youngsters Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman able to play if needed, meaning Everton should push as hard as they can to sign Berardi and land a major coup this summer.
